Elgi electric and industries limited was established more than 4 decades ago in Coimbatore. We are one of the reputed and trusted organizations and have been engaged in the supply of textile machinery and also DC&AC motors for special purpose applications to Indian Railways. With a view to expand the activities of EEIL we have entered into an agreement for manufacturing of alternators(AC Generators) with M/S. ETS Guinault ET CIE, France.

In addition to the above, we have entered into a collaboration agreement with TECO Westing House, Taiwan for manufacture of Electric Motors up to frame size 315 both standard and energy efficient.

We are the sole selling agent for India and neighbouring countries for HT Motors made by TECO WESTING House.

With regard to the Alternators, we would like to highlight that these Alternators are made to stringent specifications of our collaborator and of high quality. We use class H insulation with Vacuum Pressure Impregnation and with use of class H resin. The machine has permanent magnet embedded in the exciter system, which enables the built up of voltage even after storage prolonged storage. This is almost equivalent to PMG Systems of Excitation.

Apart from the above, we have computerized testing facility, which is the only one of its kind in India. So far no other manufacturer has this facility for testing of alternators.

Diesel Generators assembled with Water/Air cooled Engines coupled to our Alternators work in various site conditions to the customers' full satisfaction.

Also SF6 Gas filled Switches to be used with Capacitor Banks for Power Factor Improvement in Transmission lines upto system voltage of 12 kV is being manufactire and marketed by Elgi. OEM Service:
